Position Summary

The Front Desk position serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a vital role in ensuring smooth daily clinic operations. This individual must demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally

  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments

  • Check patients in and out efficiently

  • Manage and distribute incoming/outgoing faxes

  • Verify patient demographics and insurance information

  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records

  • Collect copays and balances as needed

  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure clinic flow stays on schedule

  • Provide excellent customer service to all patients and visitors

Qualifications

  • Previous medical front desk or healthcare experience preferred

  • Strong phone etiquette and communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment

  • Familiarity with EMR systems preferred

  • Knowledge of insurance verification and basic billing processes is a plus
