About the Role:
CardioClinic in Houston, TX is looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk Representative to be the welcoming face of our practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated healthcare team where your role directly impacts the patient experience every single day.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
- Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service
- Answer and route incoming phone calls, take messages, and respond to patient inquiries
- Maintain and update accurate patient records and demographic information
- Coordinate referrals and communicate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Manage front desk administrative tasks including filing, faxing, and handling correspondence
Requirements:
- 2+ year of front desk or administrative experience in a medical or healthcare setting preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance verification, and HIPAA compliance
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinical environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical office certification a plus
