About the Role:
CardioClinic in Houston, TX is looking for a friendly and organized Healthcare Front Desk Representative to be the welcoming face of our practice. Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner upon arrival
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using medical scheduling software
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service
- Maintain and update accurate patient records and demographic information in the EMR system
- Answer and route incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries promptly
- Coordinate referrals and communicate with insurance providers as needed
- Ensure the front desk and waiting area remain organized and welcoming
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; medical office training or certification a plus
- Prior experience in a medical or healthcare front desk role preferred
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical scheduling software
- Knowledge of insurance verification, co-pays, and basic medical billing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus in the Houston market
